NEW: OUR FULLY RECYCLABLE AND CO2 NEUTRAL 2020 BAGS
We are so happy and excited about our new bags, which are not only recyclable, but also Co2 Neutral. It took us ages to decide on a material for our new packaging, since we wanted to cover as many environmental issues as possible. But: We never would sacrifice the quality our customers get.
That's why we did not go with a "compostable" Monolayer, since there isn’t even one on the market that is actually really compostable and works as a barrier for your coffees' aromas. (Even though some producers state differently...)
So we decided to go for a fully recyclable, Co2-Neutral Bag bag that is as beautiful as what you will find inside of it. Have fun discovering the small details, enjoy the quirky measurements and the front design, that reminds some of us of old vinyl records the way in how it looks.
Talking about old: Some things that never get old - like the German BAUHAUS and it's colours. We don't want to see anymore pastel colours and combinations of mauve and turquoise - neither on bags nor in interior design - so we went all in with fresh, basic colours from the design school that celebrates 100YEARS this very year. And the colours will immediately tell you about the particular processing of the coffee.
BLUE = WASHED,
YELLOW = HONEY,
RED = NATURAL,
GREEN = SPECIAL FERMENTATION
BLACK = OUR STAPLE SURE SHOT SEASONAL ESPRESSO
ORANGE = (SOME CALL IT SKIN COLOUR) FOR OUR NUDIST BLEND
But it’s not just the colour that tells you something about the coffee. The shape of the sticker (again, we have to thank the BAUHAUS people) reveals a bit about the character of each particular coffee - all of which are single origin omniroasts.
ROUND = smooth, round, easy to enjoy, sweet
SQUARE = intense, sweet, fruity, rich, bold
TRIANGLE = pointed, complex, juicy, elegant
DIAMOND = balanced, rich, cocoaish OR fruity, sweet, creamy
(Basically all you want from a staple Espresso)
We really hope that this makes your coffee life even more complicated and nerdy than it already is - or you‘ve already stopped reading, then you won't read this, but we would still like to say, we like it better to take coffee too seriously, than to take ourselves too seriously.That being said, it's time to stop this - let's all get up and have a coffee.
P.S: Our partner from Dutch Coffee Pack assured us that they are already working on this future topic; which is to perfect the universally recyclable monolayer material to keep coffee fresh.
