SAMII CHELBESA #8, ETHIOPIA, WASHED (Pre-Order)

Sourced from the renowned Chelbesa Washing Station in Ethiopia’s Gedeb district of Yirgacheffe, this coffee is produced at elevations of 1,925–2,110 meters above sea level by approximately 615 smallholder farmers cultivating plots of just 0.5–2 hectares.

 Situated at 2,100 meters and surrounded by rich red soils, semi-forest vegetation, and traditional garden coffee farms, the station processes cherries from local cultivars Welisho and Dega. Farmers carefully harvest only fully ripe cherries, delivering them to the station within 40 minutes of picking to preserve quality and freshness.

The coffee undergoes meticulous washed processing, including density grading, 72 hours of fermentation, channel washing, clean-water soaking, and slow drying on raised beds for up to 10 days before final hand-sorting. 

Managed by Girum Assefa and operated by SNAP Coffee, Chelbesa has earned a reputation for exceptional consistency in the cup, producing coffees with a vibrant floral character, bright citrus notes, and the elegant complexity
that has made the region famous.
